June and Arthur were married in 1951, Les Vale was Arthur's bestman and Heather and Terry Vale were bridesmaid and pageboy.  June and Arthur met Les and Betty when they all worked at Aldworth House, Lythe Hill, Haslemere and were friends for many years.  June and Arthur lived with us in Haslemere for 2-3 years and Aunty June used to bath us, put us to bed and read us a story.  I can remember going to Aunty June's Mum and Dad, Mr & Mrs Garbutt who lived in Portsmouth.  I also remember Uncle Arthur being a Radio Ham and taking us into his special room in Copnor Road to show us his room full of kit!  June and Arthur's special moment was the arrival of Nigel - happy memories.  Heather Carpenter (nee Vale)
